MALLINCKRODT NUCLEAR CORPORATION APPLICATION DATED JULY 8, AS SUPPLDENTED AUGUST 16, 1960 - DOCKET NO. 70-36 ANALYSIS AND FINDINGS By application dated July 8, as supplemented August 16, 1960, Mallinckrodt Nuclear Corporation requests amendment to their special nuclear material license No. SNM-33 to authorize the use of a modified birdcage for transporting UF, enriched 6

between 3 75% and 12 5%, in 8 inch diameter cyIinders.

Shipments will be made via exclusive use of the truck with a mav1== of 24 cylinders per truck.

Based on our review of the information sulzaitted by the applicant, it is hereby determined that their license SNM-33 may be amended to authorize this shipping procedure.
