Dear Mr. Delaney:

Confirming our teletype of March h,1960, we request an allocation of 50 kgs. Ussa in uranium enr! ched to 3.h%, this material to be furnished as uranium hexafluoride. This material is urgently required for the completion of the Yankee Core loading.

The previous estimate of the uranium required for this core was based on the use of recycling material at the end of the production run in the pelleting operation. We have been experiencing some j

difficulty in manufacturing acceptable pellets frem recycle powder, and it appears that the completion date of the prejoct would be i

delayed if we persist in the use of reqrcle powder. For this i

reason, we would like to have additional material available. We l

request the most expeditions handling of the allocation and with-drawal in order to minimise delays in delivery of pellets to the i

customer.

I would like to point out that the request for additional material should not be confused with any other requests for addi-tional material for Yankee which you have received.
