By application dated April 16, 1960 and supplemented June 15, June 2h and July 19, 1960, Mallinckrodt Nuclear Corporation requests amendment to their Special Nuclear Material License No. SIM-33 to authorise the use of a new storage facility to be used for the sto-i age of uranium material enriched in the U-235 isotope up to 5%.

The radiation monitor alam system, as required under Section 70.2h, I
wil. be an extension of the system previously authorised for their 1
other storage facilities. The applicant states that in lieu of emergency power provisions for their alam system that ne't.orial vill i
i not be moved into, out of or within the new storage fhcility during i
those times of power failure. This restriction on material movement i
sill be removed at the time an emergency power supply is added to the l
gasma alam system.
j Based on our review of the infomation submitted by the applicant, it is hereby detemined that their license 8B(-33 may be amended to authorise the use of the new stenge facility.
