ENCLOSURE I ITEMS TO BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO FUEL LOADING OF CATAWBA UNIT 2 (DOCKET NUMBER SC-414)

A. The licensee will complete to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the following Construction Deficiency Reports (50.55e items) and Part 21 identified items:

1. Replace cracked diesel piston sk?rts (CDR 84-18/PSS).
2. Replace cracked diesel pedestal tar intake rocker arm shaft (CDR 84-19/PSS).
3. Correct starting air check valve deficiency (CDR 85-05/MPS).

B. The li'ensee c will complete to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the following violations:

1. Correct concrete honeycomb in seismic structures (SL4, 84-23-01/PSS).
2. Correct failure to audit vendors triennially (SL4, 85-08-01/QAS).
3. Resolve missing CP-438 instrument records (SLS, 85-28-02/RP2A).

C. The licensee will complete to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the requirements of the following bulletins:

1. Pipe support base plate designs using concrete expansion anchor bolts (79-BU-02/MPS).
2. Seismic analysis for as-built safety-related piping systems (79-BU-14/

MPS).

D. The licensee will perform to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the following inspector follewup items:

1. Evaluate use of epoxy bonding agent in containment building and sealers (81-15-01/PSS).
2. . Complete corrective actions for excessive spacing in charcoal absorber cells of Engineered Safety Feature air treatment systems (85-14-02/IMEP).
3. Resolve inservice inspection program deficiencies (85-09-01 thru 85-09-06/MPS).
4. Review of seismic and environmental- qualification records (85-28-01/

RP2A).

5. Resolve snubber installation discrepancies (85-31-01/MPS).
6. Resolve load ratings greater than vendor manual for mechanical snubbers under faulted condition (85-33-01/TPS).

E. The licensee will resolve to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the following unresolved items:

1. Verify adequate installation of refueling water storage tank instru-mentation (85-16-01/RP2A).
2. Failed containment spray pipe support (85-31-02/MPS).
3. Complete review of electrical interface between Units 1 and 2 (85 01/TPS).

F. The licensee will complete to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the TMI related requirements for fuel loading (TI 2514/01, Rev. 2).

A. The licensee will complete to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the TMI related requirements for full power and low power testing (TI 2514/01, Rev.

2).

B. The licensee will complete to the satisfaction of NRC Region II, the following inspector followup items:

1. Evaluate feedback of information from the Technical Support Center to the central room and Operational Support Center (84-08-02/EPS).
2. Complete specific relabeling of meters in the control room for steam-line radiation monitors (84-44-02/EPS).
3. Posting of required security at designated medical facility ensergency entrances & treatment areas as part of medical emergency drill preparation (85-03-01/EPS).
4. Provision of containers for disposal of contaminated clothing & all other disposable items associated with reception & treatment of con-taminated persons in emergency area (85-03-02/EPS).
