Request for Extension of SNM-33 to Include A New Storage Facility, Dated April 16, 1960

REFERENCE:

Gentlemen:

This is to advise you that the subject storage facility is now partially covered by existing high level gamma alarms in adjacent buildings.

Immediate action is being taken to provide complete coverage of this facility in accordance with the Special nuclear Materials additional requirements to 10 CFR 70 dated 11/11/58, and as outlined to you in previous correspondence on our gamma alarm system.

This will be ccapleted within a few days.

It is my understanding that there are no other problems which would prevent licensing this facility as outlined in the subject request.

Since we are most anxious to use this facility as soon as possible, we would appreciate receipt of approval as soon as possible in order to proceed with the installation of the necessary racks.

A collect telegram stating such approval would be appreciated if there will be any delays in issuing the formal license.
