Request for Additional Information Regarding Containment Integrated Leak Rate - McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 & 2 By letter dated August 20, 1985, you requested changes to Technical Specification 3.6.1.2 to increase the allowed containment integrated leak rate. The proposed change would recognize credit for iodine removal by containment spray in accord-ance with Standard Review Plan Section 6.5.2. We are reviewing your request and find that additional information regarding your application of the containment spray system in the associated analyses is needed to complete our review.

Provide the following additional information and identify differences, if any, for the two McGuire units:

1. Effective sprayed containment volume.

2. pH of the spray.

3. Containment sump volume, or alternatively, the volume available for containment spray recirculation.

4. Effective spray drop height.

! 5. Elemental, organic, and particulate iodine removal coefficients

6. Brief description of the model used in your calculation.
