SUBJECT: NRC REVIEW OF SUPPLY SYSTEM NO. 3 PRESERVATION OF ASSETS AND
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM DESCRIPTION PORTION OF THE
READINESS REVIEW PROGRAM
The NRC has completed a detailed review, inspection, and verification of the
readiness review preservation of assets and preventative maintenance program
description which you forwarded on May 24, 1985 and further clarified in your
letter dated August 16, 1985.
Periodically, inspectors were at the site and
their findings were discussed with members of your staff at the conclusion of
their inspection.
Areas which were reviewed, examined, and verified, are identified in the
enclosed report. ~Within these areas, the review, inspection, and verification
consisted of selected review and examinations of your program description,
licensing commitanents, procedures _ and records.

Based upon the NRC review and inspection of those activities identified in the
preservation and preventative maintenance program, I have determined that your
l
commitments and program description are acceptable. The NRC intends to
continue to review and inspect your implementation of the program.
Should
information subsequently become available which'was not considered during the
NRC review, or which conflicts with earlier information, it will be evaluated
to determine what effects it may have on the above conclusion.
