EVALUATION OF BINDER, ELSTER, MENDELSON & WHEELER, INC.

PROPOSAL FOR MODIFICATION ONE TO CONTRACT NRC 10-82-358 With regard to the cost proposal of Binder, Elster, Mendelson & Wheeler, Inc.,

under Contract 10-82-358, on the ongoing consultation and liaison with the Regions for the year beginning March 1, 1982, I wish to make the following changes:

The period of time to be covered under this arrangement will run-from March 1,1982 through September 30, 1982 This will cut in half all costs involved in the total $7,275.84 resulting in a figure of $3,637.92. The "other" expenses will be halved also. But even though halved, these expenses for telephone, postage, and secretarial services total $960 (half of $1,920).

I reconnend that you negotiate with-Irene Mendelson to reach an agreement to bill NRC for actual expenses on telephone, postage, and secretarial services; secretarial services to be no more than $8 per hour.

For your convenience, I have attached BEMW's cost proposal sheet for these services.
