Inspection Nos. 50-317/85-17 and 50-318/85-15
A special in-office radiological safety inspection was conducted by Mr.
P. Clemons of this office ^on July 1-3, 1985, of activities authorized by
License Nos. DPR-53 and DPR-69.
The results of the inspection were
discussed between Dr. Ronald R. Bellamy of my staff and Mr. Robert
Dentor, of your staff on July 12, 1985.
The inspection covered the review of licensee's records and NRC docu-
ments relevant to the allegations which were brought to the attention of
the NRC on September 19, 1984 by one of your employees.
The employee
alleged that his exposure records were incomplete and inaccurate. These
cor.cerns were previously examined in a Combined NRC Inspection Report
No. 50-317/84-25 and 50-318/84-25.
Based upon further discussions with
this employee and his attorney, and our independent re-evaluation of
this matter, we now conclude that certain of the allegations are true.
There are also certain allegations which we are requesting you to
investigate and report to us, as indicated in the enclosed report.
As a result, two of your activities discussed in Inspection Report
50-317/84-25 and 50-318/84-25, have now been determined to be in appar-
ent violation of NRC requirements.
Details of these findings are
provided in the enclosures.
You are required to respond to these
findings by following the instructions included in Appendix A.
