SUMMARY
MONTH: November,1996 l
McGuire Unit I began the month of November in an outage due to the vital battery bank was declared inoperable due to failed discharge test (not enough replacement battery cells onsite). The unit returned to service on 11/10/96 at 1820. During power escalation, the unit held at 82% power from i1/11/96 at 0740 to 1425 to evaluate moisture separator reheater check valve. On 11/27/96 at 0055 the unit began rapid down power due to hydraulic fluid leak on steam generator "D" feedwater cortainment isolation valve and held at 22% full power from 11/27/96 at 0140 to the end of the month.

SUMMARY
MONTH: November,1996 McGuire Unit 2 began the month of November in an outage due to the vital battery bank was declared inoperable due to failed discharge test (not enough replacement battery cells onsite). The unit returned to service on 11/12/96 at 0839. The unit returned to approximately 100% full power on 11/13/96 at 1800, and operated at or near 100% full power the remainder of the month.
