Dear Mr. Lundvall:
We have completed our evaluation of the seismic resistance of the Calvert Cliffs Units 1 and 2 auxiliary feedwater systems. We conclude that the auxiliary feedwater systens meet the requirements for a safe shutdown earthquake level of seismic capability in accordance with NRC Generic Letter 81-14 dated February 10, 1981.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation with the attached Technical Evaluation Report from our contractor, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, is enclosed.
