I The Commission
- was briefed by representatives of the Environmental Protection Agency on the proposed rule covering environmental standards for uranium.and thorium mill tailings at licensed commercial processing sites.

. 4. William Ellett, Staff Officer, EPA EPA representatives asked that NRC's comments on the rule specifically address the issue of what kind of liner is appropriate, clay or plastic.
In response to a question by Commissioner Ahearne, Mr. Sjoblom said he would furnish informatipn on the annual dellar figures for the industry.
