COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION (CPSES) l DOCKET NOS. 50 445 AND 50 446 l TRANSMITTAL OF RISKED BASED INSERVICE TESTING INFORMATION REQUESTED BY NRC REF: 1) TV Electric Letter logged TXX-96439, from C. L. Terry to !
l the NRC, dated August 22, 1996 1
, 2) TU Electric Letter logged TXX-96371, from C. L. Terry to l the NRC, dated June 3, 1996
! 1 l Gentlemen: I l On April 25, 1996, the NRC staff met with representatives from TU Electric to discuss the licensee's November 27, 1995,. risk-informed Inservice Testing (IST) submittal and the NRC staff's March 15, 1996, request for additional information (RAI). During the meeting, TU Electric agreed to i provide the staff with the a list of less safety significant components i
that are not exercised during the course of a normal refueling cycle.
Based on an initial review, a list of valves was identified and transmitted to the NRC by Reference 1. As noted by Reference 1. TV Electric is providing a revised list of valves. Reference 1 stated that a revised list would be provided by September 9,'1996. As a result of l conversations with Tim Polich of the NRC staff on September 9, 1996, the I
transmittal of the revised . list was extended until September 13, 1996.
. A review was conducted of the less safety significant valves which have a
. proposed test schedule of 6 years (as noted by Reference 2). Those valves which are not exercised during the course of a normal refueling cycle have l been identified (See Attachment). The Attachment to TXX 96458 supersedes i the Attachment to TXX 96439.
