Dear Mr. Stolz:
On February 14, 1985 Toledo Edison requested a verbal extension of our proposed submittal date for an amendment request concerning the shunt and undervoltage trip attachment (Item 4.5.3 of Generic Letter 83-28, " Required Action Based on Generic Implications of Salem-ATWS Event") to April 30, 1985. Verbal approval was granted to extend the due date by our Project Manager. During our internal approval process, the Company Nuclear Review Board rejected the proposed amendment request. This requires the proposed change to be revised and re-submitted for internal review and approval.
Toledo Edison will submit the amendment request for Item 4.5.3 of Generic Letter 83-28 by May 31, 1985 for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. 1.
