DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 AUXILIARY FEEDWATER PUMP LOW SUCTION PRESSURE TRIP POINT ~ BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 During a recent meeting with your staff on a separate but related matter regarding the auxiliary feedwater system at Point Beach Nuclear Plant, the Staff requested commitment dates for completion of installatioil of low suction pressure automatic trips on the auxiliary feedwater pumps.

Control room indication of pump suction pressure has been installed and operators have been instructed to manually trip auxiliary feedwater pumps on low suction pressure. We expect to provide automatic trip features by January 31, 1986 for both units.
