Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On September 20, 1984, Mr. N. J. Chiangi notified the NRC (Mr. A.
Hardin) of a potentially reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR Part 21.
The NRC teas informed that calculational errors were made by the vendor (W. J. Wooley Co.)
which could have an impact upon the design and functional requirements of the missile shield doors.
We are currently awaiting a response from W. J. Wooley Co.
concerning their evaluation of this item.
It is projected that a report on the reportability of this item will be issued by November 22, 1984.
