McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 Docket Nos. 50-369 and 50-370 NRC Bulletin 88-04 Potential Safety-Related Pump Loss (TACS 69934, 69935)
Dear Sir; NRC Dulletin 88-04 concerning notential r,afety-ralated pump losti was issued May 5, 1988.
This bulletin requested invustigation and correction of, if required, two miniflow design concerns.
By a letter dated January 15,1990, Duke Power submitted the Final Bulletin Action No. 4 Report for McGuire Nuclear Station.
According to that letter, the long term corrective actions that romained to be completed involv _i the ND pumps.

Briefly, the modification added a new two inch miniflow line for each of the ND pumps.
The miniflow line l
was tiod-in to the ND system immediately upstream of each ND pump discharge check valvo, and to each pump suction except for train A on unit 2.
The cornection for unit 2 train A is located at the NS train A suction, which is upstream of ND pump A.
Isolation valves for each miniflow line were installed at the tie-ins.
In addition, flow and temperature instrumentation and a throttling valve were installed on each miniflow line.
Accordingly, please be advised that all actions requested by the bulletin have been completed.
