Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On September 20,1984, Mr. N. 3. Chiangi notified the NRC (Mr. A. Hardin) of a potentially reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR Part
- 21. The NRC was informed that calculational errors were made by the vendor (W.
- 3. Wooley Co.) which could have an impact upon the design and functional requirements of the missile shield doors.
An evaluation 3f this item is currently F ', performed by W. 3. Wooley Company.
CP&L is currently awaiting a response
+e vendor concerning their evaluation of this item. It is projected that t reportability of this item will oe itwed by January 11,~ 1985.
