December 9, 1965 Mr. Donald Nussbaumer Chief of Source and Special Material Nuclear Materials Branch U. S. Atomic Energy Commission Washington 25, D. C.
Dear Mr. Nussbaumer:
Confirming our telephone conversation today, I am sending you enclosed a tabulation showing the nuclear fuel requirements for the initial core for our Oyster Creek plant nuclear power reactor. This letter will serve as our authorization for the General Electric Company to withdraw the quantities of U-235 shown on this tabulation against the fuel allocation that was requested in our application and has been authorized for the Oyster Creek Unit No. 1.
The allocation of special nuclear material for the Oyster Creek Unit No. 1 was requested in Amendment No. 1 to our Application
'for Construction Permit and Operating License.' This allocation request provided for a' transfer of 2418 kilograms of U-235 in 1%5 On August 2 Mr. D. E. Hetrick of our office sent a revised schedule of transfers of special nuclear material to Mr. Paul C. Fine, Director, Divisions of Operations Analysis and Forecasting, U. S.
Atomic Energy Commission. This estimated schedule provided for no transfers in 1965 but for 2481' kilograms of U-235 in May, 1966.
The enclosed tabulation calls for a total of 2466 kilograms of U-235 starting May 16, 1966, and extending over the second, third, and fourth quarters of 1966.

I hope that this is the type and amount of information required for providing the nuclear fuel for our plant, but Jf any further information or authorization is required, please le me know.
Very truly yours, D. R. Rees Nuclear Project Manager DRR:ep Enclosure Copy to General Electric Company 1
