This is to confirm the August 30, 1984 telephone conversation between Mr. N. J. Chiangi (CP&L) and Mr. A. Hardin.

Mr. Hardin was informed that the June 28, 1984 potentially reportable item, pertaining to the weld deficiencies identified in the RAB Emergency Air Cleaning Units supplied by CTI Nuclear, Inc., has been evaluated and considered not to be reportable per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR, Part 21.
