- ErJUUtsr TO AMEND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Pursuant tos '10 - CER 50.92, Georgia Power Cmpany has evaluated the attached proposed menchents and has determined ;that their adoption would not involve a significant hazard.

%e basis for this determination is as

- follows:.

a.

PROIOGED OIANGE Add the followirv3 to -the Units 1 and 2 Administrative Technical Specifications:

"A progre. shall be established, impleented, and maintained to ensure the capability to obtain ed analyze smples of reactor coolant,

~ radioactive iodines - and particulates in plant ' gaseous effluents, and.

contaiment. atmosphere under accident conditions.

%e progra shall.

include the following:

(1) Training of personnel,

-(2)

Procedure for smpling and analysis, and (3) Provisions for maintenance of smpling and analysis equipnent."

BASIS

- %is. change constitutes an additional control not presently included-in the - Technical Specifications.-

%is ' change does 'not affect the x

probability or conseguences of : an - accident or malfunction analyzed ~ in the FSAR. This change does not create.the possibility of an accident or malfunction of a different type than any. analyzed in the ESAR.

%e margin of safety as defined in the basis for any Technical Specification is not affected.

%e effect of this change is therefore within the-acceptance criteria and the - change is consistent 'with Its (ii) of "Exm ples of Amenchents that are Considered Not Likely to Involve Significant Hazards Considerations" listed on page 14,870 of the April

- 6, 1983 issue of'the Federal Register.
