INDEPENDENT DESIGN REVIEW OF LIFERICK GDIERATING STATION 01 CORE SPHAY SYSTEM Bi-Monthly Status Report #8 Period Ending Septmber 15, 1984

' Introduction This is the eighth bi-monthly status report.

Eis report docunents information concerning the independent design review of Limerick's

. Core Spray Systs.

We wcrk performed covers the period Septaber 1, 1984'to Septs ber 15, 1984.

Strrmary TASK A DESIGN PROCEDURE REVIEW Cmplete.

TASK B DESIGH PROCEDURE IMPLEMENTATION REVIEW Subtasks B1 through B3 are complete.

B4 Work was completed on the review of docutents for the expanded Task C workscope, A visit was made to Bechtel to complete this review.

All work on this subtask is now complete.

B5 Task B sunmary report was issued as mmo 2524-QA-21 dated Sept m ber 14, 1984.

TASK C TECHNICAL REVIEW Subtasks C1 and C2 are complete.

C3 No change occurred in the feature selection during this bi-monthly period.

Since the technical review is completed (see subtask C4), no additional featurcs will be considered for review. This subtask C3 is therefore complete.

C4 he review of the local contairment wall regions was completed.

.This completes subtask C4.

Processing of PFRs is being performed under Task E.

C5 Independent calculations are being prepared to ascess the impact of several PFRs.

However it is not expected that computer analyses will be required. Therefore, the work required is being performed under Task E, and this subtask is considered complete.

C6 The Task Sunmary Report is in preparation, and will contain most of the detail required for the final report.

Because of the required - cetail, and that processing of PFRs has a more si nificant effect on the final report date, the Task Sunmary 6

TASK D PHYSICAL VERIFICATION All work on Task D is complete.

TASK E POTENTIAL FINDINGS Tasks El through E3 are complete.

During this reporting period one poteriti:l finding report was initiated.. This PFR was issued in Task C during the review of the expanded civil / structure workscope.

he PFR related to analytical methodology.

The. Findings Review Cmmittee convened during this period and classified five PFRs.

Of the 36 PFRs issued, 17 have been classified and 19 are in process.

TASK F ADMINISTRATIVE AND REPORTING

. Le four major IDVP tasks, A, B,. C, & D, are complete except for -

~ the stamary for Task C.

The stamary of projected vs. actual manpower graph was replaced with the manpower status / projection table..

This table indicates the original manhours proposed, manhours utilized with supporting rearks, and the projected manhours to complete.

This table reports the project status as of Septaber 7, 19824.

With.the major IDVP review tasks teing essentially 100", complete, the resolution of unclassified PFRs and the final report are all that reain to conclude the progrtm.

The October 12 final report issue date is still feasible, but is dependent upon classifying all PFRs by Septaber 21,198't.
