BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 1 - SUPPLEMENTAL RESPONSE TO DEVIATION 438/83-10-01, 50-439/83-10 FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS NONCONFORMANCE WITH NFPA CODE In response to R. C. Lewis' letter dated May 23, 1983, report numbers 50-438/83-10, 50-439/83-10 concerning activities at the Bellefonte Nuclear Plant which appeared to deviate from commitments to the Commission. TVA had submitted a final response on July 7,1983 and a revised response on August 26, 1983 Below is our supplemental response to deviation 50-438/83-10-01, 50-439/83-10-01.

As discussd with NRC-0IE Inspectors Linda Watson on November 9,1983 and Paul Fredrickson on November 28, 1983, the date of October 31, 1983, for the completion of corrective actions for design was not met. These actions were completed on November 16, 1983 In addition, the date of January 15, 1984 for completion of installation of a flange enclosed waste cone in the relief valve discharge line will not be met due to a recent reassessment of the construction schedule for these activities. Site installation is now

. scheduled for completion by November 14, 1985.
