Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
f On March 6,1984, Mr. N. J. Chiangi dotified the NRC (Mr. A. Hardin) of a potentially reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). The NRC was informed that the craft had rigged pipe spool,1-RH-503SA-1, for welding. An unknown person removed p
rigging lashing causing the, entire assembly to drop approximately 6-1/2 inches in 50 feet.

An evaluation of trils item is underway by the Harris Plant Engineering Section and Ebasco. Preliminary results, indicate the line has not been overstressed and will be sacceptable as-is, f t is~ projected taat the completed evaluation will be issued on this item by April 13, 1984. Based on the erahation results,'a report on,the reportability of this item is projected to be issued by May 4,1984.
