Fabrication of Piping Subassenblies having Wall Thickness less than Rcquircd by Design Specifications Gentlemen:

The referenced Southwest letter reported two piping subassanblies fabricated frcm 3" Schedule 40 material, in lieu of 3" Schedule 160, as required by design specifications.

Southwest's engineering department has conducted a complete investi-gation of nuclear iscretric drawings for this contract and found ne other deviations. We investigation was conducted as follows:

1. The iscmetric assignment log was used to idmtify nuclear isanetrics.
2. Individual nuclear iscmetrics were reviewed to isolate those drawings that cmtained specification breaks and/or piping schedule change.
3. ne isometric assignment log has been trarked to identify all nuclear iscmetrics and assure ccmplete coverage.

6. No deviatims were found other than those previously identi-fied on Isometric No.1-CS-265, and Southwest's Shop Drawings Q3302-AK Sheets 21 and 22.

Since this error was isolated to work performed by specific personnel involved in this contract only, and based upon the fact that no addi-tional deviations were disclosed by our investigation, southwest Fabricating & Welding Co. considers this incident to be closed.
