During this period, Unit 1 experienced three reportable events in accordance with 10CFR50.73: LER 91-010, containment hydrogen monitors inoperable for greater than 30 days in violation of technical specifications LER 91-011, turbine runback due to nuclear power range instrument channel spike; and, LER 91-012, turbine runback caused by the loss of the yellow cha. nel instrument buses.

Safety-related maintenance included the following: installed a new mini-recirc line for the electric auxiliary feedwater pups ,

inspected and replaced solenoid valve spring in the electric auxiliary feedwater pump mini-recirc valve, charged one station battery cell, replaced seal to correct Jilnor oil leak on governor of the emergency diesel gwerator G01, replaced blown drive fuse on yellow channel inverter, replaced bellows in the safety injection pump discharge line flw L.tansmitter, replaced the service water supply piping to the glycol cooler on emergency diesel generator G01.

Potorson TELEPil0NE 414/755-2321, Ext. 361 Unit 2 operated at approximately 430 Hwo not throughout this report period, completing 313 days of unintorrupted oporation with no significant power reductions. At 0158 on September 28, Unit 2 was taken off lino and at 0435 the reactor trip breakers were opened.

On September 29, with approximately 50 psi in the ntoam generators and the primary syston on residual heat removal, the main steam isolation valvos MS1Vs failed to close unassisted. An investigation is in progress.

Safety-related maintenanco included the following: Cleanod, reapplied scalout, and rocharged to 15 psi olectrical penetration E-5; replaced bellows in thr, safoty injection pump dischargo lino flow transmitter; and replaced service water supply piping to the glycol cooler on omorgency diosol generator G02.
