This is to confirm the September 12, 1983 telephone conversation between Mr. N. J. Chiangi (CP&L) and Mr. A. Hardin (NRC).
Mr. Hardin was informed that the June 2, 1983 potentially reportable item, pertaining to thirty-four (34) Unit No. 1 backdraft dampers (Seismic Class I) that were received from Ruskin Manufacturing Company with one (1) counterbalance ar.a assembly in lieu of the required two (2), has been evaluated and considered not to be reportable per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR, Part 21.
