a This is to confirm the July 15, 1983 telephone conversation between Mr. N.~J. Chiangi and Mi. A. Hardin.
Mr. Hardin was informed that the March 18, 1983 potentially reportable item, pertaining to two Main 4 Steam /Feedwater Support Frames (Nos. C-1-189 and C-1-195) that were received and accepted from PX' Engineering and were placed on hold due to information received from Ebasco (on March 17, 1983) that Frame No.
C-1-188 scheduled for SHNPP had welds that were " slugged", has been evaluated and considered not to be reportable per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e) and 10CFR Part 21.
