Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On June 2, 1983, Mr. K. V. Hate' notified the NRC (Mr. A. Hardin) of a potentially reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e).
Mr.
Hardin was informed that thirty-four (34) Unit No. 1 backdraft dampers
-(Seismic Class 1) were received from Ruskin Manufacturing Company with one (1) counterb, lance arm assembly in lieu of the required two (2).
CP6L is currently awaiting shake test results from Wyle Laboratories in crder to complete our evaluation.- The test results are expected to be received by July 15, 1983. For this reason, we are. requesting an e>. ten-sion until August 8, 1983 for-submitting a report on the reportability of this item.
