c DISCUSSION OF PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE Presently a double asterisk footnote in Table 3.6-1, for North Anna Units I and 2, indicates that certain valves are weight loaded check valves.
The proposed change to the double asterisk footnote will state that testing is required per Technical Specifications 4.6.3.1.la or 4.6.3.1.2d.
The proposed change is only to clarify testing requirements.
The clarification in the double arterisk footnote is required due to the fact that there are check valves in the plant design that are' spring or weight loaded.
These check valves are not meant to be tested per Technical Specification 4.6.3.1.2d because failure of one check valve would not prevent containment isolation.
This proposed change is administrative in nature and does not pose any danger to the safe operation of the plant and/or public health. This proposed change does not pose a significant hazard consideration as stated in the Federal Register, Vol. 48, No. 67, page 14870. Example (i); a purely administrative change to the Technical Specifications.
