Dear Mr. Stolz:
This is in response to your letter dated March 14, 1983 (Log No. 1245) concerning the order confirming license commitment on post TMI related issues for Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit 1.
The order required that we complete item II.F.1.5 on containment water level by June 15, 1983.
We have received the environmental and seismic qualification reports for the containment water level instrumentation. These reports are presently being reviewed as part of our environmental qualification program and the documentation is incorporated in our records.
As we have reviewed the qualification program while ongoing, we anticipate that the reports will establish the qualification for use at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station.
If during our review we find that the qualification is not established, we will inform you.
These reports are available for your review as you desire.
