Dear Mr. O'Reilly:
On September 3, 1982, Mr. A. Hardin of the NRC was r.utified of a potentially reportable item per the provisions of 10CFR50.55(e). ASTM A307 bolu were used in the containment No. 1 recirculating sump cover structural steel in lieu of the ASTM A325 bolts specified.
The structure was analyzed by Ebasco Services, Inc. assuming the A307 bolts were left in place. They determined that the design loading on the platform would not exceed the yield stress in the A307 bolts. The problem is therefore not reportable. All A307 bolts have been removed and the correct bolts substi-tuted.
