SUMMARY

MONTH: January 1994 Catawba Unit 1 began the month of January with the turbine overspeed trip. test outage. The unit was placed back on-line on 01/01 at 0115. During power escalation,

. the unit held power at 30% power for core flux mapping on 01/01 from 0650 to'1145.

The unit held at 50% power on 01/01 at 2100 to Ol/02 at 0123 for calibration of nuclear instrumentation system power range. The unit was held at 97% power for delta T evaluation on 01/04 at 1132. The unit experienced an reactor / turbine trip due to low vacuum on 01/11 at'2259 and the unit was placed back on-line on 01'/13'at 1141.

The unit was held at 13% on 01/13/94 at 1155 due to nuclear sinstrumentation system.

thermal power mismatch. The unit held at 97.5% power from 01/14 at 1006 due to reactor coolant flow. Tne unit reached 100% power 01/21 at 1100. the unit operated at or near 100% full power the remainder of the month.
