AD9.3-0 KU0SHENG STARTUP TEST REPORT (SHORT FORM)
TEST #
34 TITLE: Reactor Internals Vibration Monitoring TEST CONDITION:
TC #3 - Reactor at 60% power 1.
Abstract:
The purpose of the reactor internals vibration monitoring program is to verify that the reactor internals are ade-quately designed to resist the effects of flow-induced vibrations.
The program consists of the pre-operational, pre-critical, 60% power, and 100% power test conditions.
This report covers the tests performed at the 60% power condition.
The core flows for this test ranged from minimum flow to 105% of rated flow.

From 14800 T/Hr to 40300 T/Hr 3.
Results:
Reactor internals vibration amplitudes for all sensors and all test conditions are within the acceptance criteria.
The above results are from a preliminary data anlaysis done at site and is subject to confirmation at a later date.
Recirculation pump trip tests data are satisfactorily obtained.
Initial investigation indicated that the results are within acceptance criteria.
Detailed analysis will be done by GE San Jose at a later date.

34 TITLE: REACTOR INTERNAL VIBRATION MEASUREMENTS TEST CONDITION:
- 6 1.
ABSTRACT:
Reactor Internal Vibration Measurements have_been made by Reactor Vibration Analysis and Instrumentation Unit at Kuosheng 1 Site during 100% powe startup test.
On-Site preliminary data analysis indicates that the vibration level of all instrumented reactor internal components satisfy the level 2 Vibration acceptance criteria.
2.
PLANT CONDITIONS:
Refer to attached test conditions list.
Test Condition::
T.C. #6 10/28/81 - 11/6/81 Date/ Time Rx Power, MWt 95%
100%
Core Flow, T/hr:
47%
105%
3.
RESULTS:
Vibration amplitudes of all instrumented reactor internals were within the limit of Level 2 acceptance criteria for all test points without exceptions.
During this test, the maximum and minimum core flow were 105% and 47% of design rated flow respectively.
ICGT and Jet Pump Riser Brace showed most significant vibration amplitudes at TPf6 and TPf4 respectively.
Shroud &
Steam Separator Assembly, High Pressure Core Spray Line, Jet Pump Diffuser and CRGT vibration levels were very low for all test conditions.
Most of Fuel channel' sensors failed before the end of this test.
However, usable data indicate low amplitudes of Fuel Channel Vibrations.
A summary of significant results is attached.
Note:
ICGT means In-Core Guide Tube CRGT means Control Rod Guide Tube 4.
EXCEPTIONS:
There are no exceptions.

34 Supplement TITLE: Reactor Internal Vibration Measurements TEST CONDITION:
- 6 Vibration Test #11-Load Reject with Turbine Trip 1.
ABSTRACT:
Reactor Internal Vibration Measurements have been made by Reactor Vibration Analysis and Instrumentation Unit at Kuosheng I site during the load rejection test at 100% power.
On site preliminary data analysis indicates that the vibration level of all instrumented reactor-internal components satisfy the level 2 vibration acceptance criteria.
2.
PLANT CONDITIONS:
See attached Sheet.
3, RESULTS:
Review of preliminary results indicated no changes in funda-mental resonant frequencies for this transient type test.
Further data analysis will be performed in San Jose for the Final Test Report.
