SUMMARY

MONTH: December 1993 i

McGuire Unit 2 began the month of December operating at 100% power. On 12/03/93 at 1900 the unit had reduced load to 15% power to repair reactor coolant drain tank leak. The unit held at 51% power to perform safety injection calibration. On 12/27/93 at 2207 the unit experienced a turbine / reactor trip due to a loss of offsite power The unit remained in the outage for approximately 2 days due to main steam _ isolation valve problems and 2 days for ice condenser inspections. The unit did not return to service during the month of December, 1993.
