This refers to the meeting held with Mr. L. W. Eury, Senior Vice President and
others of your staff at the Region II office on July 14, 1982 at our request.
This meeting related to activities authorized by NRC Operating Licenses DPR-62
and DPR-71 for Brunswick.
The subjects discussed are detailed in the enclosed
inspection report.
Our concerns regarding the effectiveness of your operations management controls
were expressed during the meeting. Due to these concerns we requested strong
corporate action and the development and implementation of a program to improve
your management controls.
It is our opinion that this meeting was beneficial and has provided for a better
understanding of inspection and enforcement issues.
In accordance with Section
2.790 of NRC's " Rules of Practice", Part 2, Title 10, Code o.f Federal Regula-
tions, a copy of this letter and enclosure will be placed in the NRC's Public
Document Room.
