Subject: NRC:RI Combined Inspection 50-317/82-16, 50-318/82-14
This transmits the June 15 - July 13, 1982 routine resident safety inspection findings
by Messrs. R. Architzel and D. Trimble at the Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant,
Lusby, Maryland.
Those findings were based on observation of activities, interviews,
independent measurements, and document reviews, and have been discussed with
Mr. Russell of your staff.
An apparent violation of NRC requirements is cited in Appendix A and categorized
under the NRC Enforcement Policy,10CFR 2 Appendix C (47FR9987, March 9,1982).
A
. reply is required and should be prepared in accordance with Appendix A.
It is exempt
from the Office of Management and Budget's clearance procedures under the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1980, PL.96-511.

In accordance with.10CFR2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures will be
placed in the NRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office, by telephone,
within 10 days of the date of this letter and submit written application to withhold
information contained therein within 25 days of the date of this letter.
Such
application must be consistent with the requirements of 2.790(b)(1).
