AND i NEGATIVE DECLARATION The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission (the Comission) has issued

, - Amendments Nos. 47 and 47 to Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56, respectifely, issued to Philadelphia Electric Company, Public  !

, Service Electric and Gas Company, Delmarva Power and Light Company, and Atlantic City Electric Comoany, which revised Technical Specifications for operation of the Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units Nos. 2 and 3, located in Peach Bottom. York County, Pennsylvania. The amendments i are effective as' of the date of issuance.

The amendments revise the Technical Specifications which relate to:

(1) the instrumentation that initiates or controls the core and i containment cooling systems, (2) Administrative Controls, (3) addition i

of safety relcted snubbers, (4) certain revisions that would conform to the Staff's Standard Technical Specific'ations, and (5) various editorial changes to clarify the meaning or correct errors in the existing specifications.

The applications for the amendments comply with the standards and ,

equirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Comission has made appropriate l findings as required by the Act and the Commission's rules and regulations

The Comission has determined that the issuance of the amendments will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant

_ to 10 CFR Section 51.5(d)(4), an environmentat impact statement or (j negative declaration and environmental impact appraisal need not be prepared in connection with issuance of these amendments.
