Centlemen:

On February 19, 1988 (NLS 88 051), Carolina Power & Light Company requested a change to the Technical Specifications for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Units 1 and 2.

The proposed change clarifies Instrument Tables 3.3.2 1, 3.3.2 2, 3.3.2 3, and 4.3.2-1 and revises Section 3/4.6.3 of the Brunswick Technical Specifications.

f Based on recent requests by the NRR Project Manager, the following changes have been incorporated with the typed Technical Specification pages:

1.

Relative to Technical Specification Table 3,6.3 1, the table number and title have been restored to the page that references the previous location of the table. The note referencing relocation of the i

primary containment isolation valve listing to plant procedure RCI-02.6 has been retained.

2.

Relative to Technical Specification Table 3.6.5.2 1, the table number and title have been restored on the page that references the previous location of the table. The note referencing relocation of the secondary containment automatic isolation damper listing to plant procedure RCI-02.6 has been retained.

3.

Changes originally proposed to Technical Specification pages in l

Section 3/4.6 resulted in repagination of pages 3/4 6 14 to the end j

of the section.

The affected Technical Specification pages in I

Section 3/4.6 have been returned to their original pagination.

Since only pagination changes were proposed on Technical Specification pages 3/4 6 15 through 3/4 6-23 and 3/4 6 25 through 3/4 6-30, they have been removed from the request package.

The Index Section of the Technical Specifications has been revised to reflect the pagination changes described above.
