In connection with their Petition filed with the Atomic Energy Cor:=ission on July 12, 1973, for the it:=ediate derating of nine B'w'Rs because of alleged fuel densification problems, Friends of the Earth (F0E) filed with the AEC on Dece=ber 13, 1973, a " Request for Decision" which was directed to the anticipated approval of proposed Technical Specifi-cations for the nine plants relating to the fuel densification matter.

On Dece=ber 14, 1973, the enclosed letter was sent to the Counsel for F0E as well as copies of the enclosed docu=ents. These documents, the letter, and a copy of the " Request for Decision" are being trans-mitted to you for your information.
