Prefiled Testimony of CASE Witnesses
+
t I
Gentlemen:
..- g As indicated in my July 16, 1982, letter, we were under the impression that the deadline for filing documents only had been extended to the 19th and th'at the
~[
deadline for filing testimony was the 16th.
We accordingly cut short some of our witnesses' testimony and filed it on July 16, 1982.
Since there was in fact an extension of time until the 19th for prefiled testimony, we are enclosing
[
supplementary testimony for two of our witnesses, Charles A. Atchison and Stanley G. Miles.
We trust that this will be acceptable under the circumstances.,
{
1 We are sending under separate cover by expedited delivery today the remainder i
of the documents which we wish to introduce into evidence.
At the request of
(
John Marshall, we are supplying the copies for the Applicants to him rather than sending them to Nick Reynolds; he has indicated that he has so advised Mr. Reynolds and that this is acceptable.,
We wish to again reiterate that the agreement that we would be through with our cross-examination of both Applicants' and NRC Staff's witnesses at the end of the day on Tuesday, July 27, is contingent on two things:
that there will be no extensive cross-examination of Applicants' witnesses by the NRC Staff or of the NRC Staff's witnesses by the Applicants, and that there will not be a lot of haggling about getting documents introduced into evidence.
Respectfully submitted, CASE (CITIZENS ASSOCIATION FOR SOUND ENERGY) 8
