Dear Mr. Kenny:
This letter 1: in response to your letter of March 18, 1982, which I have considered as a request for action under 10 C.F.R. 2.206 of the Comission's regulations.
Your letter requested that the Comission cause the Boston Edison Company to pay a penalty, imposed by the staff of the NRC, to your office for use in a weatherization/ conservation program.
For the reasons statet, in the enclosed " Director's Decision under 10 C.F.R. 2.206",
your request has been denied.
A copy of this decision will be placed in the Comission's public document rooms at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20555 and at the Plymouth Public Library, North Street, Plymouth, Massachusetts 02360. A copy will also be filed with the Secretary for the Comission's review in accordance with 10 C.F.R. 2.206(c) of the Comission's regulations.
As provided in 10 C.F.R. 2.206(c), this decision will become the final action of the Comission after 25 days unless the Comission determines to review this decision within that time.
