SUBJECT:
LA SALLE UNIT 1 Received call from an electrican who works for H. P. Foley Company (electrical contractor) at the La Salle County Nuclear Power Station.
(He gave me his name and how he could be contacted (attached) but He expressed concern relative asked that his identity be protected).
to the design and welding of electrical cable tray supports within Stated welding on vertical members for one Unit 1 containment.
support at elevation 740 feet and at 135* was st'arted by one welder and finished by another. Knew one of the welders and questions if he was qualified.
Said weld appeared very poor and was afraid it would fail.
