your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.

Areas exanined during this inspection are described in the f1RC Region I
Inspection Report which is enclosed with this letter. !!ithin these areas,
the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures and
representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations by the
inspector.

Our inspector also verified the steps you had taken to correct the violation
brought to your attention in a letter dated September 2, 1981.
We have no
further questions regarding your action at this time.

Eased on the results of this inspection, it appears that one of your
activities was not conducted in full compliance with tiRC requirements, as
set forth in the flotice of Violation, enclosed herewith as Appendix A.

violation has been categorized by severity level in accordance with the NRC
'
Enforcement policy. (10 CFR 2, Appendix C) published in the Federal Register
tiotico (47 FR 99G7) dated flarch 9,1982. This notice is sent to y.1 pursuant
to the previsions of Section 2.201 of the TiRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2,
Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations. Although Section 2.201 requires you
to sutnit to this office, within thirty days of the date of this riotice, a

prior to the completion of our inspection, and therefore, no response with
respect to this natter is required.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.79D(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosures
will be placed in the IRC Public Document Room unless you notify this office,
by telephone, within ten days of the date of this letter and subnit written
application to withhold information contained therein within thirty days of
the date of this letter.
Such application rust be consistent with the
requirements of 2.790(b)(1).

request withholding, er any request for an extension of the 10 day period
which you believe necessary, should be nade to the Supervisor, Files, l' ail
