AGENDA HYDROLOGIC

& The reviewer 1has a need to s'ee all local site drainage features to:

i (a)

Form independent judgements of all varia.ble parameters used tn evaluate the capacity of sy., stems.

(b) Ascertain any changes that have occurred since original construction that rdght alter evaluation procedures and final results.

For example, portions of site drainage facilities may have been blocked by current construction or other modifications or may require evaluation of the current potential for blockage by debris, silt -

or ecuionen.

(c)

Identify potential flow paths, runoff patterns, control area.

storage areas and areas of cor.centrated flow.

'(d)

Check the role of " catch basins" in site dra, inage.

e Oyster Creek has a " dike" that divides the intake and discharge canals.

This dike r.ay be. inportant in the evaluation of Oyster Creek and

~

Forked P,iver flooding and also possible inclusion in Topic III-3.C.

Design details and infomation are limited.

e There are two dans on Oyster Creek.

These dans may be important in the ~

flood analysis.

e The features of Oyster Creek and Forked River that may affect backwater analyses cannot be obtained from a map (roughness, bridge conveyance and loss, constructions debris, etc).

e Features and the condition of the intake canal nay be inportant to. the revie..: of the safety related water supoly.

This canal is also included in Topic III-3.C.

GE0 TECHNICAL

. e. First-hand knowledge of the " dike" that reparates-the intake and discharge canals is essential.

A determination of the-stability and the need for.-

continuing inspections of the dike is required.

At this time, ~ design deta'ils and other information on the dike provided by the licensee, are

'limited.

Y

e There Are two dams on Oyster: Creek.

Current information on these dams are limifed-and first-hand knowledge is essential.

One. of.the dams, has an.associat'ed pond that's'e'rves as a backup source for nucTear service water.

~

e. First-hand kno'wledge'.of the condition of the intake canal slopes is required.

~

This canal is included in Topics III-3.C and II-4.D.

i e The staff has no information on structural fill properties and compaction criteria for -fill.used adjacent to and for the support..of structures, i.f applicable.

This information is required for Topic II-4..F.

O Information on buried structures, where. located, and construction details are important and needed for inclusion in Topic II-4.F.
