1 ENCIDSURE 2 NOTICE OF DEVIATION Duquesae Light Company Docket No. 412 Beaver Valley Power Station License No. NPF-73 Unit 2 During an NRC inspection conducted between May 11 and June 14, 1993, a deviation of submittal for 10 CFR 50.62, ATWS Rule Implementation was identified. In accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcemen* Action",10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C, the deviation is listed below:

Rule Implementation," December 2,1987, states that periodic testing of AMSAC will include a " functional test of the logic, time delays, and setpoints."
Contrary to the above, periodic testing of Unit 2 AMSAC, including a functional test of the time delays and setpoints, has not been accomplished since original AMSAC installation in 1989.

copy to the NRC Resident Inspector at the facility that is the subject of this Notice, in writing within 30 days of the date of this Notice, the reasons for the deviation, the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved, the corrective steps which will be taken to avoid further deviations, and the date when your corrective action will be completed. Where good cause is shown, consideration will be given to extending the response time.
