RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION (TAC NO. M84673)

The puroose o' this letter is to alert you to the staff's need for certain information so tbt we can continue our review of your proposal to increase spent feel capacity for Unit 1.

On January 25,1993,. a request for additional information was ferwarded t you, and a response was requested within 30. days of receirt. As of June 24, 1993, we had received no response, although assurances of a response have period:cally been obtained by telephone. The NRC review of the proposal is a complex one covering multiple technical areas.

More questions could be forthcoming, although we do not anticipate any at this time.

We are making every effort to support your requested amendment issuance schedule of November 1,1993.

The requirements of this letter affect fewer than 10 respondents, and, therefore, are not subject to the Office of Management and Budget review under PL 96-511.
