i Survey Report, NS Savannah Page 1 Reactor Space - Lower Secondary Containment (Attachment No. 1)
BRH inspectors Mark Yeager and Aaron Gantt performed a survey and inspection of the lower secondary containment vessel of the reactor space.
Approximately one meter to the right, after exiting the entry hatch and walking toward the bow, a coolant recovery pipe leading out from the reactor vessel has a surface reading of 450 mR/hr.
This was the maximum reading obtained throughout the survey.
Other high readings that were noted included a pipe elbow on the port side forward which read 130 mR/hr at the surface and a 55 gallon drum and attached hose on the forward side of the reactor room where readings up to 65 mR/hr were recorded.
The integrity of the reactor vessel itself was good with no evidence of deterioration.
Background
readings taken along the catwalk surrounding the reactor vessel averaged 0.5 mR/hr. No removable contamination was detected as a result of the survey.

Wipe test analysis results indicate that no removable contamination was found.
Port Stabilizer Room (Attachment No. 3)

The two strainer valves at the lower level are still internally contaminated with readings of up to 450 uR/hr.

Several of the pipes leading into the pump were contaminated (from the Bicron 2000 meter readings) but the contamination was contained within the pipes, based on wipe test results.
