Dear Mr. Spangenberg:

SUBJECT:

WITHDRAWAL OF AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR THE CLINTON POWER STATION, UNIT 1 (TACNO.69550)

By letter dated May 18, 1988, you applied for an amendment to the Clinton Power Station 0)erating License, No. NPF-62.

The proposed change would have modified tie facility technical specifications pertaining to note "c" on Table 4.11.2-1 of the Clinton TS.

Subsequently, this request was superseded by your application dated January 26, 1990, which relocated the Radiological Effluent Technical Specifications in response to NRC Generic Letter 89-01. Your staff informed the NRC during a telephone conversation on June 8, 1990, that the amendment was no longer requested and, therefore, we should consider it withdrawn.

The Commission has filed the enclosed Notice of Withdrawal of Application for Amendment to Facility Operating License with the Office of the Federal Register for publication.

Sincerely,

/S/
