V. /1 We have reviewed your report transmitted by letter dated l'ebrdaryl7,:.1980 (No. 588) which responds to our letter dated January 9,1980, requesting results of your evaluation on reactor primary system voiding during transient conditions for your plant. Your submittal is also considered the response to Till Action Plan Item II.K.2.17 " Potential for Voiding in Reactor Coolant Systems During Transient" in ilVREG-0737.
Based on our review of your submittal we conclude that your plant design is adequate to acconnodate anticipated operational transients without causing unacceptable voiding in the reactor primary system.
On this basis, we consider that you have adequately addressed our concerns regarding this natter and you should consider Item II.K.2,17 as complete and no further action is required.
A copy of our Safety Evaluation Report is enclosed.
